Notes: For the "Shuttlebusters Open" friendly matches (the second Thursday in July and the first Thursday in August) the idea is for the playing standard to be a bit lower so as to get more people involved. To enter, you need to form a team and tell me, or let me know you want me to try to find a partner for you. Match fee will be £4 per head. You can play either or both matches. If you can think of a suitable team name, that's good. To make things as easy as possible a team consists of one pair unrestricted (ie. can be mixed, ladies or men - and the opposition can be any combination as well). You'll play best of three against each opposing pair - there are usually three opponents (so you get anything from six to nine games). I aim to have enough players to form two divisions (each time) so pairing yourself with someone strong will only get you matched against stronger opposition (you bin warned!).

The lineup on 10th July was as below - in both groups Aerosystems came top with the After Eights as runners up.

On 7th August we divided into two teams (below) and played best of three against each of the three pairs in the other team. No rubbers went to a third game even though eight of the eighteen games were 21-18 or closer and the match result was Reds 7 Blues 2. Pairs are listed in order or games won and points difference.
